This is a wonderful place to eat and drink, the quality is superb. The owners offer a warm welcome to their delightful Inn. The chips were seasoned to perfection, the Fafael burger tasted devine, 100% recommended for any one even those travelling through will be most welcome. They do get busy so booking is recommended.

A great  lunch after a long dog walk. This place is always warm and welcoming and the food is great.

Just finished the best sea bass that I have ever had in a pub. The food here is exceptional. Served on bashed potatoes with perfect cabbage and fragrant parsley cream sauce. Magic. Come here and try it!

Visited this delightful pub for a roast last week, very friendly welcoming staff, the IPA was excellent as was the food, excellent beef and cauliflower cheese! Try the apple crumble after... Lovely! We will definitely be returning

We were in the area for a week away, and in need of a big pub lunch. We booked for lunch as a family group of 11 grown ups (of all ages) and 2 children. The staff were all very welcoming and accommodating and the food was delicious.
The landlord said he'd recently taken on the pub, after it had been closed for a year or so, and made some changes; and from what I could see they were all positive. (As a slight aside: it is great to see a pub being taken on by the community and brought back to life, rather than become another statistic of pubs closing forever.)
We even managed to sneak in a game of skittles after lunch, which was excellent.
Two of our party liked it so much they went back again for lunch the next day!
The village is on a few walking/cycling routes and the pub was welcoming of everyone there (and their dogs).

Great to see a thriving local run by locals for locals, whilst welcoming visitors with open arms. Great drinks range, great food, lovely atmosphere and friendly owners and staff. Well  worth a visit.

We were cycling the King Alfred's Way and in need of a good lunch so dropped down from the trail into Urchfont. The Lamb was a great find: very welcoming and providing very good food.

The family had an excellent meal. The homemade pie was packed with meat and had great pastry. The staff were friendly and attentive.

Just fell in love with this place, the staff and locals are so friendly, and the food was amazing the whole family loved the food, the great thing was lots of gluten free on menu.

Delicious family Sunday lunch. Lovely service. Exceptionally happy kids! Genuinely couldn't ask for more.
